Run For Tomorrow's Hope
On the morning of Saturday, April 12th, St. Joseph School in Garden City proudly hosted the 10th Annual Run for Tomorrow’s Hope, once again sponsored by the Catholic High Schools of Long Island.

The day began with a heartfelt blessing from Father Matthew Browne, Bishop’s Delegate to the Department of Education, followed by a beautiful rendition of the National Anthem by Kiera Liantonio, a proud alumna of St. Joseph School.
Undeterred by the weather, more than 350 participants registered to take part in both the 1-mile Fun Run and the 5K Run. Among them, 25 Catholic schools were represented, including 18 Long Island Catholic elementary schools.
This milestone year brought more to celebrate than just the race itself — thanks to overwhelming support, we not only reached our fundraising goal of $35,000, we exceeded it, raising over $44,000 — a new record for the event! A special highlight of the day was a well-deserved award presented to Dr. Michael Spinelli, Run Director, in recognition of his unwavering dedication and commitment to the success of the Run for Tomorrow’s Hope over the past 10 years.
St. Joseph School proudly earned the title of Fastest School, while St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Regional School in Bellmore took home the award for Highest Participation — for the third consecutive year!
A heartfelt thank you goes out to the 2025 Run Committee, especially Victoria and Dr. Michael Spinelli, our generous sponsors, and St. Joseph School for once again hosting this incredible event.

A Christmas Evening
Tuesday, December 9, 2025

This year, Tomorrow’s Hope Foundation is proud to honor Theresa and Austin Lotito with the 2025 Advent STAR Award at our 10th Annual A Christmas Evening on Tuesday, December 9th, at The Columbus Citizens Foundation in New York City.
Theresa and Austin are being recognized for their steadfast commitment to Catholic education, their active faith-filled family life, and their generous support of Tomorrow’s Hope’s mission to provide opportunities for children across Long Island to attend Catholic schools.
Theresa, a board member of Tomorrow’s Hope since 2023, brings both her professional dedication as a Surgical Physician Assistant and her personal devotion to her faith to everything she does. Austin, a leader in real estate finance, also gives generously of his time and talents in service to the Church and Catholic causes.
Together, they exemplify the values at the heart of the Advent STAR Award: faith, family, and service. As parishioners of St. Joseph Church in Garden City, they are raising their three young children, with a fourth on the way, in the Catholic tradition and actively encourage others to do the same.
We look forward to celebrating Theresa and Austin for their leadership, generosity, and witness to the mission of Catholic education at this special Christmas tradition.
